WIFE: Shelly

For the past four years, Shelley has served as Administrative Assistant at Cathedral of Faith in San Jose, CA.  Her hearts cry is Intercessory Prayer.  She is anointed, to teach and has taught at the California State Baptist Convention, Serendipity, Women's Prayer Breakfast and Ministry Workshops.

  

CHILDREN:

Erin and Ervin Jr. attend Farnham Elementary School where they are our little Evangelists.  They have both accepted Christ and even at this early stage of development are devoted to a consistent praying lifestyle.

 

HIS TRAVELS:

After Serving in the US Army, ministry opportunities opened up in a variety of states in U.S and other parts of the world.  To name a few.Greece, Italy, Turkey, Africa, The Cayman islands, Jamaica, Canada, Washington D.C., Florida, and Hawaii.  Ervin also toured the Historic Middle East Bible Landmarks.

Dr. Adella D. G. Washington

 

 

 

Dr. Adella D. Washington, Ed. D., is a born-again Christian, a child of the King.  She accepted Jesus the Christ as Lord and Savior at the age of seven.  After her baptism at age seven, Dr. Washington began her involvement with the work of the Church.  Her service was both at the church and with outreach to others in the community.

 

She has served, via employment, in the human service field for more than three decades.  Professional goals of Dr. Washington are to share, through teaching in institutions of higher learning, and to encourage others to make a positive, godly impact in the world.  The greatest desire of Dr. Washington is to live within the will of God for her life and to serve in a manner that is pleasing to Him.

Reverend Thomas E. Fisher (BA, M Div.)

Reverend Thomas E. Fisher has been the Pastor of the Second Baptist Church of Redwood City, California since June 1990.  He has been in the Gospel ministry since 1983.  He has served as an Associate Minister at the New Rising Star Baptist Church in Forth Worth, Texas, and at the Second Baptist Church of Redwood City, California.

 

Believing that the call to ministry is a call to preparation, Rev. Thomas E. Fisher is a graduate of San Jose State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.  He has studied at the largest Seminary in the world, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, where he began his work on his Masters Degree.  He earned his Master of Divinity Degree at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California.  Currently he is planning to enter a Doctoral Program.

 

Reverend Fisher has served the Bay Area Baptist District Association in several capacities: President of the Congress of Christian Education, President of Young Adult Department, President of the Pastor and Minister Council, as well as District Revival Lecturer. In July 2006, he was elected as the Moderator of the Bay Area Baptist District Association.

 

He has served as a Vice President and as the E.V. Hill Scholarship Award Chairperson in the Young Adult Department of the California State Baptist Convention.

 

He married Donna Campbell of San Jose, California in 1994.  They have two children Arika born in 1997 and Arianna born in 2000.

 

Reverend Fisher believes a Pastor should actively set goals for a congregation according to the will of God, obtain goal ownership from the people, and see that each member is motivated and capacitated to do his or her part in the fulfillment of God's plan and program.  To pastor a people who love the Lord Jesus Christ and are seeking His will for their lives is a calling and commitment he aspires.

Larry Stamper ThD, JD

HIS FAMILY:

Married for 33 years to his wife Carrie and they have two children, a son Larry II and a daughter, Phoebe.  Dr. Stamper has been a Christian for 35 years and preaching the gospel for 31 years.

 

EDUCATION:

Dr. Stamper made education a crucial part of his life and learning experience.  He has studied and graduated with degrees from respected colleges in California and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from San Francisco State University in Biology and Pre-Med.  He then attended biblical colleges and has a Bachelor of Theology from San Jose Bible College, a Masters and Doctorate Degrees from Sacramento Theological Seminary.  Dr. Stamper also earned a JD Degree from the Southern California University of Professional Studies School of Law.

 

EXPERIENCE:

After obtaining an excellent Christian education, Dr. Stamper moved forward and became the Pastor and Founder of the Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church in San Jose, CA.  He served as their Pastor/Teacher for 10 years.  He is currently serving as Pastor/Teacher at the Amazing Grace Baptist Church, Newman, CA and has for the past 10 years.  Being an active leader in spreading God's word, Dr. Stamper is affiliated with the St. John District Association, under Dr. Ray Williams, the California State Convention serving under Dr. Gaines and the National Missionary Baptist Convention guided by Dr. C. C. Robertson.

                                   

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

A man of high goals and expectations, Larry is not hesitant to lend his expertise.  He is a Professor or Dean at Based Seminary in Stockton, CA where Dr. Samuel Smith, Jr. is Chancellor.  Since 1995, he has taught Pneumatology, Spirituality, Systematic Theology, the Book of Acts and Bible Doctrine.  Because of his excellent teaching methods, he was chosen Professor of the Year for 1995, 2000, 2006 and 2007.

 

If this is not enough, since 2003 he has been one of the Professors at the Peninsula School of Theology, Golden Gate Seminary Affiliate, Rev. Fred Campbell, Chancellor.  Courses he has taught include Homiletics, New Testament Theology, Old Testament Theology, Leadership Foundations and Counseling for Spiritual Leaders.

 

As Director of Pastor/Minister's Conference with the Saint John District Congress of Christian Education, Rev. Willie Estes, President, he takes his calling to teach a step further.  In this capacity, his duties are to provide curriculum and education for pastors and ministers of Congress of Christian Education.  He has developed theology curriculum for pastors/ministers as well as developed curriculum for associate ministers.

                                   

Being Dean with the Saint John Congress of Christian Education where Dr. Ray Williams, is the Moderator, his duties are to evaluate/implement curriculum and policies for spiritual enrichment and edification for Congress attendees. He is also responsible for devising and coordinating lectures and education for annual sessions.

 

SPECIAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

A man who enjoys teaching and helping others know Jesus on a personal level, Dr. Stamper has been a Revivalist for the following Pastors and churches: Mount Olive Baptist Church, Atwater, CA, Dr. Rodger Tyler, Pastor; Progressive Baptist Church, Modesto, CA, Dr. Joe Tyler, Pastor; Heavenly Gate Baptist Church, Stockton, CA, Rev. INTEREST/HOBBIES:         

Reading theology, watching one of the NFL's superior teams, the Dallas Cowboys, an avid basketball fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, and baseball's the Los Angeles Dodgers.  A good game of dominoes he also enjoys and listening to the R & B group the Temptations, (Motown quintet), along with reading scientific journals.  Some of his favorite authors are Walter Bruggemann, Eugene Peterson, T.D. Jakes, John MacArthur, Charles Swindoll, Howard Hendricks, Michael Dyson, Cornel West, and Howard Thurman.
